Act Today
Not tomorrow
The attention we pay to the well-being of our planet
must be a continuous, daily undertaking, something we cannot postpone until tomorrow.

Because change is possible, even if we only start out with small things we can do every day.
Starting today.
Here are some daily tips to reduce our impact on the planet:
Save water.
To avoid wasting water, turn off the tap when you aren’t using it; for example, when you’re brushing your teeth or shampooing your hair.

If you have a garden, collect rainwater to use on your plants.

When you’re cooking, use the water from rinsing vegetables to water your house plants.

Fit a flow reducer to all your taps: you can save water and cut down your bills.

Add more vegetarian food to your diet. Meat farming is responsible for consuming vast amounts of water.

Drink tap water. It takes 12 litres of water to make a 0.5-litre plastic bottle.
Take care of your clothes
Only use a small amount of detergent to wash your clothing.

Choose eco-friendly detergents: they are soft on the planet and on your clothes - which will last longer. Only machine wash items when you really need to. Otherwise, clean off any marks as soon as possible and hang the item outside or in a steam-filled bathroom to freshen it up.

Choose the most delicate machine setting, and the lowest possible temperature: you’ll save energy and your clothes will last for longer.

Jeans shouldn’t be washed too often. Freshen them up by putting them in the freezer overnight. Wash your jeans at low temperature, using a delicate setting, together with similar colours. Before you wash your jeans, turn them inside out, with zips and buttons fastened: they will last longer.

Separate whites from coloureds and wash items with prints and appliqués inside out. Do not dry your items in direct sunlight, as it can damage them or cause them to fade.

Before you buy a garment, look at what it is made of, and always choose lower impact materials, such as organic, regenerated, or high-tech fabrics.

Wear an item as many times as possible. If you use your clothing for 9 months longer, you can reduce waste and water consumption by 20-30%.
Let’s cut our CO2 emissions
Try to choose zero kilometre shopping - especially when buying food.

Choose seasonal fruit and vegetables to cut the emissions linked to transport.

Switch off your devices on standby and unplug them when they are not in use.

Use a bike or walk, when possible.

If you want to reduce the impact of your travel on the environment, then take a train instead of going by car or plane.
Let’s be circular
Use your clothes and electronics for as long as possible. Before you discard them, try repairing them or using them differently.

Instead of throwing out clothes you no longer need, take them to used clothing collection points, such as our stores.

Don’t buy disposable items: disposable plastic items make up 70% of the waste discarded in the sea.

Let’s not forget the details
Choose eco-sustainable beauty products.

Choose washable and re-usable make-up remover pads in cotton or bamboo fibres.

Buy refillable cosmetics with reusable packaging.

Biodegradable packaging is best. Try to avoid disposable materials.

Choose shampoo, cream and perfumes in bars to reduce the impact of packaging waste on the environment.

Instead of plastics, try to use low-impact natural materials, such as wood or bamboo.

And when you go shopping, bring your own reusable bags.
