Improve Your Eco Valore
Ideas and tips to save resources and make your clothes last longer.
-
Eco detergents tend to be more expensive, but they're kinder to the environment and your clothes, saving you money in the long run.
-
Most detergents work brilliantly at low temperatures – check the pack for information.
-
More is less with detergent – adding extra measures can do more harm than good as it leaves a damaging residue on your clothes after rinsing.
Safety
100% of our items undergo chemical and physical testing to ensure compliance with the limits we have set for the use of chemicals, which at times are even more stringent that those set by international standards.
Materials
Viscose
Viscose - or rayon - is a man-made fibre with natural origins. Although it comes from natural materials such as wood, the standard process to make viscose uses large amounts of energy and solvents. This is why we are working to replace it with alternatives made by manufacturers who use high-tech production methods with reduced environmental impact.
Wool
Wool is a natural fibre with animal origins, traditionally used for its light weight, softness and insulation properties. It is renewable and biodegradable, but its production is associated with a high impact on the environment. We are working towards using alternatives such as regenerated or certified wool, or even towards replacing it with something more sustainable.
Polyamide
Polyamide is a fossil-based man-made fibre used for its water resistance and elasticity. We are working to replace it with regenerated polyamide or other, more sustainable materials.
Cashmere
Cashmere is a natural fibre with animal origins, traditionally used for its light weight, softness and insulation properties. It is renewable and biodegradable, but its production is associated with a high impact on the environment. We are working towards using alternatives such as regenerated cashmere, or even towards replacing it with something more sustainable.
Our suppliers
We have made conscious choices based on the utmost responsibility and transparency at every stage in the production chain. All of our suppliers share this same commitment towards the well-being of people and the planet, and are compliant with the strictest protocols in terms of eco- and social sustainability.
